5 Things I Learned From the CrossFit Open
- I need to work on my strength.
- I need to work on my conditioning.
- I am not Julie Foucher.
- It’s OK to be mediocre. Being the 5,153rd fittest chic in the world sounds like pretty good bragging rights to me.
- It’s OK to JUST HAVE FUN with competition. For me the Open was about being part of something BIGGER than the daily WODs in our little OIB bubble. The CrossFit Community is Ah-mazing and not only the foundation of CFOIB, but the whole reason I rolled open our doors over 3 years ago. #drinkthekoolaid

1. I have never encountered a group of people more supportive than the CrossFit community. My out of town CrossFit buddies would check in with me and provided tips and encouragement.
2. I’m doing ok for a 5’8″ gal with mile high legs and long arms!
3. I have something awesome in common with Camille Leblanc-Baz… We both want to see pull-ups in our WODs.
4. Thrusters are still my nemesis and I will work on them.
5. I have seen and am amazed at what our athletes are capable of when they HAVE to try heavier weight or new movements. I will push you harder now!
and 6….
I learned to always make sure my jump rope is tangle free before the WOD begins….I’m still upset about that one.
